If you want to survival in an urban survival situation, you’ll need to A) Stock up on supplies and B) Protect those supplies. That’s all it really boils down to. One of the best urban survival tips to remember is that having a gun is the best form of self-defense you can have. Also, If you’re a prepper with a lot of guns, ammo, food, and water, you’ve got a lot more to lose than most people during a crisis. For this reason, don’t make yourself a target! After a disaster, there’s going to be widespread confusion and panic. People aren’t going to be thinking rationally, and so confrontations are bound to happen.

Finally, make sure that you learn all the escape routes in your city. During a crisis, you can be rest assured that people are going to act crazy. If there’s an evacuation, traffic is going to be worse than L.A. traffic on a Monday morning. But if you know all the escape routes in your city (the “back roads” so to speak) then you have a much likelihood of getting out before everyone else. Most prepping advice focuses on teaching people how to survive in the wilderness. While this information is generally very useful who live in the countryside, it’s not that helpful for people who live in the city. Hence, this is where urban survival comes into play. Urban survival is all about being resourceful and keeping yourself alive in a city environment.
