DIY Emergency Lights from Solar Yard Lights
I love this idea. These little solar lights give off a lot of light, surprisingly. Get the rack from Lowe’s. (It’s an under shelf basket turned upside down.) This way, you can keep them outside and charged up, but they can be brought inside very easily.
Even in winter these little dollar solar lights can aid in your power cut and make kids feel safer. Also check out Gaye at Backdoor Survival’s take on using solar lights for emergency lighting. She adds a switch to the solar yard lights, so that once the lights are charged up, you can turn them on then off again, thus mitigating setting them out in the sun each day.
