20 Survival Uses For Chap Stick

I don’t actually use chap stick on my lips, yet I carry a couple tubes of chap stick with me everywhere. Why? Because of all the things you can do with them. I have one tube that I hollowed out and turned into a little survival kit with a tiny compass, a couple strike-anywhere matches, a hook and fishing line, and some other mini survival items.

In my bug out bag I have another hollowed out chap stick tube with rolled up twenty-dollar bills inside. I also have a few regular tubes for purposes such as: moistening blisters, starting a fire, making a candle, preventing rust, cleaning my glasses, stopping small cuts from bleeding, and more. As you’ll see in this article, chap stick can be very useful.
