5 Ways To Heat Your Home For Free

We are in the midst of fall so winter has not set in yet. However, it will come fast and the snow and ice will follow.

What if the power goes out? Do you have options? There are ways that you can heat your home for free. There are ways that you can heat your home in a blackout when the winter winds are whipping outside. Let’s have a look at a few of these methods.

Wood

wood is work but it can keep you warm. You have to go cut it or buy it but once its in your possession, well, it will keep you warm.

There is nothing like wood burning on a cold day.

Ceramic Room Heaters

By connecting several ceramic pots of various sizes with nuts and bolts and sitting a tealight under that “heater” you will be able to heat the room up around you. We are not talking about oil heat or heat pump warmth but it will keep your hands and body warm.

Solar

Harnessing the power of the sun is a great way to get warm. You can do this in a number of ways. Obviously, solar power through a solar generator is going to do the best job.

People

Get some people into your home! The more people in a home the warmer it will be! Human bodies give off heat. Don’t sit lonely and cold in your home in the winter. It’s not healthy!

Activity

You can also really heat the home up if you are active in that home. Instead of sitting on the couch and shivering, get up and get moving. Take on home DIY projects or just give the house a good deep cleaning.
