There’s an old Far Side comic that shows a married couple standing in a bomb shelter and a sky full of mushroom clouds directly above them.
The shelter is filled with canned food, and the wife is yelling at the husband: “How many times did I say it, Harold? How many times? ‘Make sure that bomb shelter’s got a can opener–ain’t much good without a can opener,’ I said.”
As preppers, we spend so much time thinking about food, water, shelter, first aid, and all the other basics that it’s easy to overlook essential survival items. Even experienced preppers are bound to forget a few things.
A while back we shared a list called “50 Survival Items You Forgot To Buy,” but readers left comments and sent messages telling us about all the other things preppers often forget.
This resulted in a list of 50 MORE survival items. It goes to show that no matter how prepared you think you are, you can always be more prepared.
