Dear Single Parent,
Life is hard. Who knows the decisions you made and who really cares.
What matters most is your mission at hand. You have taken on the toughest bill of all and that is to raise a child into a human adult. Its a tough deal but people have to do it.
All of the struggles that go into typical child-rearing aside, we also have to prep. Why are you working all those hours and struggling so hard, to offer a future to your child or children? You are a brave person, to begin with, and hopefully, you are paying attention.
The world is unfolding in ways that we just aren’t prepared for.
- Economic Threats
- The Next Big War
- Threats from the Sun
- Threats to the Food System and Resources
- Social and Civil Unrest
- And the like
The task before you is not an easy one. You are tight on time and on money but you still need to put up food and other things. You still need to train and learn and practice for what is to come.
Our society has put programs in place to help single parents but that emphasis has not made its way to disaster preparedness. Quite frankly, you have to be tight with your budget and disciplined.
Consider 6 basics to build upon that will put you and your family in the driver’s seat of preparedness. Remember these as you start to pave your way as single parent prepper
- Backup Power
- First Aid
Never forget that you are doing one of the hardest things a person can do. Raising kids with two parents is enough to drive them crazy. You carry this burden squarely on your own back. Keep it up and keep prepping for the future.
