The days of preservation will be here before you know it. It may seem like we are a long ways away from canning and preserving but if you have food in the ground or fruit trees and bushes, you better be sure that you are ready for when that fruit starts dropping. The thing about harvest that catches us all off guard is the window. This is particularly true of things like fruits and berries. Once that window closes your harvest will be lost.
