Not everyone will be out looking to help when SHTF. There are plenty of people who will stoop to new lows when confronted with adversity.

Con Artists and Scams When SHTF - There are many different ways and types of scams. Knowing some of the more common types can help you spot them before you get fleeced. In a SHTF world, bartering may become a survival tactic and many of these scams involve barter exchange.

Besides the higher risk of despicable acts such as burglary, assault, and homicide, there is also a higher risk of scams. These con artists would be looking to get close to you and gain your trust just long enough to swindle your hard-earned money, provisions, and/or supplies.

Just think about our world today. It’s so full of monsters and times are good! They are the best of times!

Deception

Just the basics of deception are going to vastly increase. Anyway, a person can get over they are going to get over. It’s going to be a world where everyone is looking for their next opportunity.

Theft

People who know where you are and what you have are going to want it. They might even be people you once trusted. Everything has changed now. Be sure that you understand that everyone should be watched carefully. Most importantly those close by.

Community is important but dont be nieve in an SHTF situation.

Exploitation

The weak and the ill will be most at risk when it comes to scams like these. If it’s just too easy people are going to take. We live in a nation where needs are met if not by work than by the state. We dont see desperation enough in America.

It’s easy to forget what it does to people. You need to keep your wits about you and be prepared for anything. Everyone should take caution.
