An important part of prepping is preparedness outside of the home. You have to be real and understand that this extends beyond your four walls. Situational awareness and being prepared in public makes a big difference.
How you EDC and what you EDC is going to make all the difference.
What to Carry?
Let’s talk about a basic EDC that would fit most people with a prepared lifestyle.
- IFAK or First Aid Solution
- Water Bottle
These items won’t work for every person but you will be able to affect a lot of issues with this loadout. What items you carry on a daily basis will determine your level of preparedness outside your home.
Tailor these items to your needs and create an EDC that is built just for you.
How to Carry?
While there are many methods of carrying your EDC items, we are going to look at one in particular.
Some inventions are made for preppers and the creators don’t even know it. This product showed up on the television show Shark Tank, and I never knew about it until the show.
The SCOTTeVEST is basically an Every Day Carriers dream. It has 19 different pockets and compartments that seem to be perfectly concealed in an otherwise normal looking jacket.
You can carry food, water, phones, tablets, sunglasses, cameras, wallets, keys, pens, books, and various other items all in one vest! The possibilities are truly endless for this product.
The concealment is taken a step further by what SCOTTeVEST terms their ‘Personal Area Network’. This is a concealed network of conduits that you can use to hide even your charging cables. I’m sure the more clever preppers out there can find other ingenious uses for these pockets and conduits.
The vest is a product that works.
