Don't Overlook These 6 Preps - list

What about the items we dont think about? What about those overlooked prepping resources that just dont come to mind? There are a bunch of those and we are going to look at 6 of them right here.

Cooking Oil

Preppers know that they need food. Food storage is pretty simple to understand. What many preppers leave behind is the idea of cooking oil. Fats are important and healthy fats are even more important.

Aluminum Foil

It’s metal. Metal is a big deal in survival. It can be used to cook food but also as a conductor or you can use foil to block the noise from the UFOs….just kidding.

Zip Ties

Zip ties fix things. They fix them up in a hurry. They are also great for temporary fixes. You can hold a gutter in place while you go to grab the tools you need. A variety of zip ties can be a great prep.

Soaps

Personal hygiene is very important and will be even more important when you are dealing with the SHTF landscape. Spreading disease and dealing with harmful bacteria will be as much a struggle as anything else in survival.

Sunscreen

We rely on sunscreen to protect us from the sun but so many preppers just forget all about it in the bugout bag. They move to the shemagh which is something they are not very familiar with.

Dental Care

Dental care is not an issue until its an issue. In an off-grid situation, you do not want a root canal. You do not want to have teeth pulled without any anesthesia. Even investing in some simple tooth cleaning tools can go a long way.

We are all familiar with the prepping staples. Things like food, water, shelter, fire, and security just make sense to us all.
