Foraging is a good time. While some preppers can confuse it with a serious source of food, I would argue that foraging is merely a bridge from one food source to another. It is not a long term food solution that will help keep you alive. You can only really depend on foraging if you are moving constantly but then you are burning so many calories that you will need to spend all of your time eating to replace them. Do not depend on foraging as your staple source of food. In the same frame, do not disregard it either. It can be all that keeps you going at times.
One of the very best foraging treats is wild mushrooms. If you come across a patch of mushrooms that you are 100% sure you have identified properly, they can really be helpful in filling you up. Just make sure you know what you are eating. It all takes practice.
