They primp themselves for hours a time. In fact, we even go off-premise to have our nails and skin worked on even further. Our hygiene so far exceeds that of a simple standard that it’s hard to imagine a world where running water would no longer exist.

When things like Irma and Harvey happen people get smacked in the face and brought back to reality. Its a bitter and harsh reality.

Have some plans for when that bitter reality comes for you. You have to be prepared to react when you have a tiny wedge of the hygienic potential of before. Now is the time to assign preps for a hygiene emergency

Store Hygiene

A great way to prepare for hygiene in an emergency is to stock up on simple supplies and store them in containers. These can be things like soap, baking soda, shampoos and other items that you simply cannot live without when it comes to personal hygiene.

An often forgotten piece of personal hygiene is the razor for shaving. You don’t wanna deal with an infected ingrown hair in a disaster.

Grow Hygiene

Most people dont realize that things like licorice root and loofa can be grown and used for personal hygiene. Licorice root is a great toothbrush substitute

There is also something called soapnut that can be grown and does just what it sounds like. However, the soap itself is not very hard to make from scratch. It probably makes sense to learn that process, as well.

You can attack the problem of emergency from many angles and not all of them have to involve buying things. Prepping is not as much about cash as many people think.
