I know for sure I have a snake den on my property, they are only Garter snakes but still, with children around I did some digging to see if the so called good guy of snakes was actually that good. Some species of Garter snakes have a mild form of toxin in their venom but are unlikely or able to bite humans, but a small child with softer skin could probably get penetrated by a snakes fangs.
