Getting Out of Your Prepping Rut - Every prepper who makes it past the first year or two will eventually find themselves in a rut. They may walk into their storage areas and look upon all they've accomplished with pride. Lingering under the pride is a burning question, "Now what?" You have hit a prepping rut.

Every prepper who makes it past the first year or two will eventually find themselves in a rut. They may walk into their storage areas and look upon all they’ve accomplished with pride. Lingering under the pride is a burning question, “Now what?” You have hit a prepping rut.

You’ve got your food storage taken care of, minus a few tweaks of course. You have plenty of other supplies stockpiled and stored for longevity. You have learned and practiced new skills, maybe started a garden, and your whole life has taken┬áthis huge 180 degree turn. You may feel a little lost, unsure what to do next. Guess what?! That is completely normal and, like I said, most of us will hit a prepping rut at some point. The key is being able to get past that and take your preps to the next level. What form that level takes is entirely up to you.

From those who’ve gone before us, there are things you can do to help you get out of the rut and back onto the path! Something as simple as choosing a larger project that will take a long time to accomplish is a great way to refocus.
