I love the stance this author takes on bushcraft. Many of use tend to take a strange approach to wilderness survival. We spend hours on Youtube and Amazon and before long our inventory of wilderness survival gear has grown but our actual time in the environment has not. The author makes this point better than I can and he also offers up the ideas and skills that should be learned as basics first. This measured approach to bushcraft is one that I think we all can learn from.
My favorite articles are those written by people who are passionate about the topic. These aren’t necessarily article written by people who are experts. Sometimes and expert can be droll and boring but well informed. The fire in an article like this often leaves a stronger impression and that is why I brought this article to your attention.
