You might think that the attacks on retailers or the current ransomware virus that is spreading throughout the net are small pennies.
You may think that these attacks do not have the potential to cause any real harm. You may think that your money is protected by the security measures at your bank. Did you know that a nuclear power plant was hacked last week outside of LA?
The hackers were unable to get control of the plant but it was still hacked just the same.
We are in the very infancy of this hacking situation. The capabilities of hackers will grow and we will be left to deal with the consequences. If their abilities grow exponentially the average person will be left out to dry while the larger government agencies struggle to get their sensitive information under wraps.
Whether you know it or not we are engaged in radical cyber warfare. It is the new battlefield. While many are concerned about robot armies and things like that, well, we are in the future.
Sure drones are scary but the idea that they could be redirected by hackers is even more terrifying. The thought of someone hacking into the control systems of a nations nuclear arsenal is also a nightmare.
Of course, if we have people in the military who can do these things, well, we will have civilian hackers, too. That is another thing that is happening NOW!
In the prepper community, we are often lulled into this state of waiting. The wait is over for the age of hacking. We have arrived and now we are left to wonder what life is going to look like as things get more and wilder.
The question is not: How can we be hacked? Its now become a matter of how to d we carry on when the inevitable happens.
