Let me start by sharing with you a fact that is the foundation of being a smart prepper: Preparedness is inevitable but it does not come overnight. Yes! This is the biggest lesson I learned in my last five years! This realization is now my motivation to become a smarter prepper. This habit or lifestyle is developed with exposure to different applications of learnings. It teaches one how to transform the habit of carelessly living and inattentively to living thoughtfully and purposefully for surviving in order to develop well when disaster strikes.
The learning process is led by lessons and challenges absorbed along the way. These important lessons act as a guide that improves, alerts, or warns us. Many of these indicators have given me a clear picture of what it requires to be a survivalist. You may be aware of some of these experiences, as even you may have learned them at some point.
Although I have received many such warnings and improvements that I have shared below, they do not persuade me to put a full stop to my learning process. So, I firmly believe that there are still many more secrets to come up!
In reality, it starts with you! This is why each prepping excursion is different. A few individuals can manage it while the rest simply end giving up and return to a normal life. However, they feel proud of trying at least to gain general knowledge of what to do if there is a sudden strike of a disaster. This too is commendable! The bottom line is that this regime is not for everyone, as there are several hurdles on the way that can result in failure in absence of proper guidance.
