It’s always an ugly topic to face, fitness. No one really wants to get in Post Apocalyptic shape. One of the greatest enemies of prepper fitness is time. The greatest excuse is that there is no time in the busy day for a fitness plan.
The next best excuse is that you have an AR15 to handle your problems. Excuses are the fastest way to becoming out of shape and overweight. There is always a reason to fatten up! A reason to stay in and stay comfortable.
The reality of physical fitness is that there is always some time. You are always able to fit something in if you think about it. Fitness is not just about being prepared but it’s about being healthy! Science is very clear on this.
Instead of simply working out you can integrate prepping into your routine. You can run in the woods and look for wild edibles and medicines. You can kill two birds with one stone. This idea can go a long way in helping people get prepared and get in shape.
Work Harder, not Longer
Fitness is not about time at the gym. You can crush a workout in 30 mins or you can spend 2 hours with every increasing your heart rate at the gym.
Focus on things like Tabata training, supersets, less rest and integrate things like burpees and sprints to keep your heart rate up the whole time.
Do Something Everday
Get in the habit of executing some type of fitness every day. This is a great way to get your mind and body prepared for the work. Instead of going hard at the gym three days a week be steady for 7 days a week. It’s a huge difference maker.
You want to train your body to be prepared for work every day. Not to prepare for 3 days of really hard work a week.
