A new show that is up on BBC is called “Prepper” its a high quality, professionally produced on the mainstream network. This is a very interesting look at prepping. While it takes a very different angle on prepping than the ugly Doomsday Preppers show.
Its strange listening to two British women talk prepping and joke about it, frankly. Its very entertaining if not a little staged. This is a pre written podcast that is as much sitcom as it is entertaining. It could be the juice you need to get your own stock of prepper gear.
The BBC Show is hard not to listen to and enjoy! Its truly an offering that extols the more radical virtues of prepping, includes key terms and explanations of those. The show also offers up a bunch scenarios that most preppers have gone over in their head.
The fact that the show is run by two women is another great sign. Not only are they women but they are well adjusted and funny women. There is no air of paranoia or, maybe more important, fear. They even make mistakes that are written into the show for comedic relief.
It would seem that this show offers up proof that the western world is well aware of the risks that are presenting themselves.
The first episode of the series is on Bugging In and, to be honest, they do a great job at this. If you were to be tasked with taking on the publics attention and getting them thinking about serious disaster preparedness, this seems to be a great method for it.
These pre written and highly entertaining episodes of PREPPER are an incredible look into what people are really after. Sure, they want to be safe and take steps to get there. Still, they want to be entertained, as well. Most of all they don’t want to be scared to death!
