If you live on a homestead, you’re already more prepared than 90% of Americans. But hour house, garden, barn, back yard and everything else also need prepping. Your house in particular, also your “bug in location” should be ready for things like home invasions, fires, shootouts and so on.
Living on a homestead means you’ll have lots of space for your preps. I’m talking about things like installing solar panels, setting up a generator, burying underground caches with some of your valuables, or build a safe room as a last resort in case the emergency doesn’t allow you to flee.
One thing to keep in mind is that no matter how well you prepare your homestead, there’s always a chance you’ll have to leave it behind and bug out.
