Spring cleaning can be the perfect time to focus on the prepper organization. It’s rare that you get the change to really hone in on cleaning up bags and kits. It’s also rare that you get a chance to look at your preps in a brand new light and consider different storage methods and things of that nature.
Let’s look at a few different spring cleaning initiatives that you can take as a prepper.
All Americans can use severe declutter. Stuff is cheap and we all have lots of it. Probably more than we are ever going to use. So rather than hang onto it all we should look at getting rid of some of it.
We can survive and thrive with much less clutter around. That is just the reality. Start eliminating things that you don’t need or haven’t used in some time. You can also spend a little extra cash on a storage unit. These can hold several uses for you.
If you have been prepping for some time, you will likely have acquired some gadgetry or other preps that you will never use. That is the nature of this market, some people make things that sell but aren’t really practical.
Its time to get rid of that survival ax/shovel/compass/flashlight/taser/glass breaker/gasmask combo that is sitting around. Just focus on tools that work and have worked. Also, focus on metal tools. Many of these new gadgets are made with lots of plastic.
If you want to power up as a prepper you need to organize your preps in a way that makes them easy to access and effect. Rubbermaid containers are some of the best tools for this.
When you have organized preps you not only free up room in the home but you free up room for more preps! What could be better?
