Here we sit, on the final turn of the year 2019. We have seen a tremendous year that tested much of what we know about food production in our nation.

The Mother of All Food Storage Plans - Having 3 weeks of food will not be enough for survival for the long term. So here's a complete one for our survival needs.

We have watched this nation face down things like harvest crushing rain as we brace for the brutal frost that could make matters worse.

In many parts of the world, we have seen the African swine flu wreak havoc on pork populations and that is something that will affect meat prices all over the world!

Many believe we are on the way towards a solar minimum that will also affect our ability to grow food. You see, its an ugly situation. Food is a big deal, well, its the biggest deal. With food, you can do a lot. So let’s talk about building a year’s worth of food

How Much

You are after, at least, 2000 calories per person per day. It doesn’t matter if they are babies or not. They will not always be. So be prepared with at least 800,000 calories. This is extra food to barter or in case you burn something or lose food to bugs.

Don’t cut it too close or you could suffer.

Buying for the Pantry

If you are going to be buying for the pantry you can use things like canned and dry foods from the supermarket. Just grab a little more each week. Get one extra can of spaghetti sauces and one box of pasta. In a year you will have 52 meals just in that!

Buying in Bulk

Some of your food storage should also be bout in bulk. These are very important things to have on hand. Long term food storage that is packed for 30 years is the kind of food insurance that makes all the difference.

Food in all its forms will offer you power in a bad situation.
