We can ask ourselves many questions when it comes to the bug out. It’s a deep plan that requires a lot of pre-planning. Things can go wrong at a moment’s notice and that makes this even more terrifying.

Do you have what it takes to survive a bug out situation?

While finding the right bug out location can be a trial, you don’t want to rely on just one. In fact, you are going to want multiple points on the North, South, East, and West of your location. This will give you options to react no matter where the threat originates.

Of course, you should make some considerations about travel to the location. Rally points are important. Maybe you even consider picking up some survival caches and storing them along your route. All of this can make a huge difference.

However, you are going to want a structure to arrive to. Most of us don’t have the money to invest in a bug out cabin that is built with all the amenities. So what other options do we have? Tents and cots are one option but they are not going to sustain a family long term. That’s a problem.

Have you ever heard of an earthbag? Earthbag constructions are the method of filling bags with sand stacking them in a way that creates a dome shelter. These earthbag homes can be made pretty impressive. There is no other means of building out there, that is as cost-effective as earthbag construction.

This means you can turn any bit of bug out the land into a location with a viable shelter. If you can get out of the rain and keep things warm and cozy, maybe even add some bedding to that location, you have something effective.

Look into this dirt cheap bug-out locations!
