No matter what stance you take on children you have to support those parents who are doing the work. The kids are our future. You know the deal.
It was my kids that actually started me down this road of preparedness. They saved me from a life of ignorance when it came to disasters and even minor natural hassles.
Is there anything worse than when you feel that pit in your stomach and it evolves your kids? Maybe you lost them for a second or you hear about something terrible happening at their school or a school near them.
Its easy to forget about your own parents when you are preparing for your children. How do you help your parents get prepared for disasters?
One of the best ways to deal with prepping for your parents is to start small. Be sure they have some extra food. Maybe buy them a little extra bottled water to have around. Give them some options for light and even an emergency radio.
With just these items they will be able to deal with a number of natural disasters and challenges. While it may sound like overkill, they will eventually get used to it.
Lead by Example
There is no better way to be prepper who influences others than to lead by example. You can do a whole lot if you just lead by example.
If you are going to talk to your parents about how important it is they get prepared, you better be preparing yourself. Talk about what you are up to and what it will help. People want to be prepared, even beginners. The best part of all this is that they might start bragging to you next!
