America has lived through SHTF already but very few people are still around to talk about it. The title of this article is a phrase from the great depression era. Many preppers concern themselves with our next iteration of the great depression.
It’s a terrifying reality but the ebb and flow or our economics system will one day put us in a similar situation.
It’s an amazing thing we lived through a time where people went without! Our nation is a cushy place where money and property and benefits are handed out. This makes the fall of society hit even harder. How will people ever deal with a collapse?
We can make some lifestyle changes today to be prepared for tomorrow.
Conservation of Resources
Most Americans have lost the concept of conservation of resources. It’s a terrible thing. Truly, we are looking at a time where people would much rather use it and toss it than conserve it or, God forbid, reuse it as something else.
We can conserve our natural resources and we can conserve and reuse the items we have spent our hard-earned money on.
Cook at HOME!
We need to stop eating out. You know, there are a number of things that we can do if we know how to cook from scratch. It’s one of the most overlooked of all preps. With flour, sugar, and eggs we can bake at least 50 different dishes!
When you know about your resources you can do amazing things with them.
Frugality today is going to make a huge difference in how you live your life tomorrow. It will also assure you that you have more money in your pockets. The more cash you have on hand the more you will be able to spend on needed resources for prepping.
Dark times will hit America again some day.
