I think this emphasis on radical fitness is what turns many people off.

Funny enough, if you look to the most elite fighting forces on the planet you find that they rarely get into things like CrossFit and these types of radical training. The boot camps are certainly straight forward and that goes a long way. 

If you are on the way towards taking the reigns on your won fitness level, you might want to consider some basic operators workouts, some army workouts, some military boot camp style fitness. There is a reason its the starting point for the best of the best.

Let’s look at three effective methods that all militaries utilize. 

Rucking

For many preppers, this should be a no brainer.

The ruck is a replication of the bug out. Simply take your bug out bag or get home bag and go for a hike with it. Even a walk will do!

In your early days of training hit the road for about 1.5 miles. You can up it as much as you like from there.

Then there is roadwork. Boxes and military alike have long touted the effectiveness of running. Find the right mileage for you and take it to em’!
