Is homesteading like prepping? Its a question that is worth looking at but they are different things. At the end of the day, it comes down to the person doing the prepping and the person doing the homesteading. Some preppers are more like homesteaders and vice versa. Learn them both!

Stockpiling

The classic stockpiling prepper is the person who fills all the shelves, caches, pantries and everything else. This is the person who focuses mostly on things that can be bought and not made. This is a very important part of any preppers journey.

Self-Sufficiency

This prepper is going to look at things through a very different lens than the stockpile. This prepper is going to look to make and grow as much as possible. These are people who put value in knowing the types of trees, rocks, steel and various other base materials.

Wilderness Survival

The bushcrafter is going to run to the woods and share some similarities with the self-sufficient prepper. This guy is running to the woods because that is where they will be most well versed.

Now, the best prepper is going to be the person that explores all four of these so keep that in mind.
