One of the biggest questions I get a lot is, “What’s the best survival tool and why?” This is a fair question. After all, people want to buy something that will get them out of serious trouble when the time comes. Let’s think about that for a second. Is the best survival tool an axe? Axes can be used to build shelters, defend yourself, and even make fires. What about water filters? We all know the importance of being able to get clean water in the wild. Or what about a bow and arrow? With a good bow, you can hunt wild game and prevent starvation. As you can see, the decision isn’t easy. There are tons of good items that you could buy.

One could even say that the best survival tool you can have is knowledge. After all, with knowledge, you can do practically anything in the wild, even if you don’t have any tools or equipment on you. Flashlights are another example that come to mind. Humans are very efficient in the dark, so a good flashlight will allow you to perform basic tasks even after the sun goes down. With that being said, this isn’t a question that a single survivalist or prepper can answer. To get to the bottom of this, we asked 16 preppers/survivalists what they thought the best survival tool was. So sit back, click on the link below, and learn about what item made the top of the list!
