What is a prepper?
It’s a loosely defined word that has tentacles. While you might not sit squarely under the definition its likely some parts of it wrap you up or poke at you. We all have a little prepper in us.
Being a prepper was an option for those who didn’t take to the paramilitary woodsman design of the previous survivalist model. It just didn’t resonate.
Preppers can be housewives and that is pretty cool. However, we have to be careful about the relaxed nature of prepping. It can easily slip into hobby status and we might end up falling victim to not taking these steps as seriously as we should.
Not all preppers will die in SHTF but some will. Here is why.
Conflation of Ability
If we are not practicing we are not getting any better. It’s that simple. No matter how much watching and reading you do you cannot get better.
You are basically a sports talk show host for the prepping community. You know your stats and you know the game really well but, you have no skills. You cannot play the game.
However, this ain’t football. If the other shoe drops you have to be able to play the game and win the game! Be honest about how good you are and how skilled you are.
Preppers need to be fit. They need strength and they need endurance. Without it you will fail and you will likely die. Or worse you will become a piece of property to someone else.
Get in shape preppers!
You could be fit and you could be skilled but you need numbers and help. No man is an island unto himself. Community is key when it comes to preparedness. You have to get involved.
