There are a couple of easy ways to track the sun and a quick way using a watch. You don’t necessarily need the sun to determine directionality, there are ways to read the constellation at night as well.
Be sure to know which constellations are visible from your location, and practice locating them so you’re ready when SHTF!
There are many good guides and tutorials out there that are comprehensive useful, get to know them. They give different variations of methods according to your location. This is important because the same methods don’t work the same way in the northern and southern hemispheres.
