Aren’t you tired of the riots and the division? We concern ourselves with many great threats in the preparedness world but we are facing one right now.
Have you considered your neighbors in your preparedness plans? What about in your plans to create a better union.
This country is splitting like a piece of paper. The problem is, it’s not as simple as north vs south. No. It’s much more terrifying. Sometimes it rich against poor and sometimes it’s white against black. We are an angry nation looking for answers.
Unfortunately, we are looking for those answers to come from some magic group of people like politicians. We are hoping some movie star will say something to right all the wrongs and get us back on track. With all our freedom we do not understand that only we can heal this nation.
So, where do we start?
We are all surrounded by people in our immediate area. These people make up the experience we have when we leave our homes. This is our community. Rather than wait on people in high places to make a change.
The time has come to get involved in your community. Join a group, a meetup or something along those lines. Get involved in what happens locally and it will change how you view your community.
Our closest allies in disaster and in this world are going to be our neighbors. It might not feel like that now but if you build a community in your neighborhood, well, then you can really have some fun! You neighbors are, most of them, looking for a greater connection with the people around them.
We are living through an age of fingerpointing and that is doing serious damage. Everyone seems to know exactly what’s wrong with other people. However, we rarely take a look inside of ourselves and focus on personal improvement.
Its time to try that game.
