YES! Make your own sugar! I never knew you could do this, and I am definitely going to be making some of my own sugar from my beets this year.

I knew there was a reason I needed to grow beets. I personally hate the taste of them but I guess I can grow them just for my sugar needs.

This is a great homesteading and self-reliant project. Get your family involved and have a beet fest.
