If knowledge is power than what is a skill? It’s presumable that skill comes after knowledge.
As prepper’s, it’s impossible for us to learn all the skills. If you are smart you will enjoy this challenge. You see, prepping is one of the most wide-ranging undertakings of all. It only looks like a one-sided coin from the outside in.
One of the best ways to assure your group has the knowledge and the skill is to create a verifiable survival library. This library could be created in several ways. You should have a contingency.
A collection of physical books is important to all preppers. Your survival group will call on books written about everything from gardening to the art of war. A true prepping library will be far-reaching.
This library should be made up of many useful books that can be handed out to others in the group. Of course, the danger of the physical library is that its one fire away from being nothing.
While many people shy away from the digital when it comes to prepping, there could be some validity in creating a digital library for survival. You see, the digital library takes up zero space and can contain thousands upon thousands of books and pdfs.
If you were to store a thumb drive in a Faraday cage you could preserve this digital library even after an EMP. Of course, that means you will need a means of reading that drive. So, store that in your cage, as well.
If you are going to acquire new skills you will need to be able to read from books in a survival library. Of course, you can be way more effective with a group. Digital libraries can be handed out amongst your group, as well.
