Meet The Family Of Four Living In A 168ft² House
After suffering huge losses (including their home and business) as a result of credit card debt and the financial crisis of 2008, this family vowed never to use credit again. They bought only what they could afford, which was a small plot of land in Virginia and a 168 square foot home they built themselves.
I saw this and I had to share it with you all. If a family of four devastated by the Great Recession can do it, it gives hope to the rest of us that we can as well. To live a mortgage free, self sufficient life is what being a homesteader is all about. What could be better than to grow your own food and produce your own electricity.
In August of 2015 they finished building the “Big House”, passed inspection and moved in! Their story is inspirational, so I wanted to share this article again. I have also included links to their blog and Facebook page so we can continue to support them.
