We often question ourselves on what goes into our body. There are more science and more information about the importance of our diet and health effects than ever before.
Some of the worst diseases have been linked to things like processed sugar and the lack of exercise. We know all about the various types of risks that go along with certain diets. There is no escaping a terrible diet.
If what we eat can drastically affect our bodies what we consume with our eyes must have a mental effect as well. What could happen to your mind over a time of negative media or scary stories about the end of the world? As preppers we have to be very careful about what it is we consume.
There is a limit to the amount of violence the human mind can absorb. There used to be a term known as shell shock. That was the WWI equivalent of PTSD. The problem is that all people are different. When they see different kinds of violence people are affected differently.
We all should be very careful about the amount of violence we let into our heads on a daily basis. Things can get out of hand fast and you will know it when you see it.
What about no real violence but a pr4omise of violence and death. Prepper sites are as guilty of this as anyone else. Fear mongering in the prepper space goes a long way and can really make people uncomfortable.
Too high a diet of fear and you will find yourself suffering from paranoia or worse.
The unspoken demon in your media diet is sex. Sex is everywhere and it is changing how we look at the world. Everything is splattered with sexuality and our new queens are not those of royalty but are beauty queens.
We have to be very careful with the amount of sex and violence we take in. Our society is mutating from the effects and it’s not transforming into a better version.
