When I think about the beginning of the universe or the massiveness of the universe it reminds me of the bugout. There are an endless list of possibilities that could affect or be affected in a bugout situation.
How many books and articles have been written on the subject? Yet, each person’s decision and journey to leave their home and disappear into some other location will be uniquely different.
It will also be sprinkled with opportunity and danger.
Do you know how to build a family bugout bag?
Success in the bugout has a lot less to do with your bag than you think. Have you ever practiced the bugout? Do it with your whole family so that you can address issues early on. If you wait till go time to have at it, well, that will be a problem.
Get out and give the bugout a try!
A Viable BOL
you need a viable location to go to. Be sure that you a place where you can arrive, defend and rest a bit. If your BOL is a long term trip through the woods, it is going to be tough on your family.
If you do not have a viable BOL location, the time has come to start seeking out that spot or maybe even invest in some land.
Another big part of bugout success has to do with multiple levels of access. You need more than one way of getting to that location. This way you can get to your BOL even if you have a major road shut down.
You might even consider multiple locations, as well. This would give you options to the north, south, east, and west.
The bugout is tough. It’s not going to be a fun trip for the family. Of course, that doesn’t mean its impossible.
