Most gardeners have a few cucumber plants in their garden. We have 10 of them! Not sure what we thought when we planted so many. 😛
To say they are very prolific is the understatement of the year. So I went on an internet search to find ways to use our cukes. And WOW! Did I find some interesting recipes!
I found recipes for eating the cucumbers right out of the garden: have you ever tried one warm from the sun, cut in quarters and sprinkled with salt? YUM! Soo good! Crunchy, fresh, and healthy.
Here’s just a few ways to eat your cucumbers:
- cucumber salads – there are so many variations! You could eat a different cucumber salad every day for a month. Mix cucumbers with different herbs (dill is one of my favorite), slather them in yogurt, throw in some tomatoes, etc.
- make cucumber appetizers
- try some cool cucumber soups
- experience with cucumber drinks
- and of course, make pickles!
